Social Justice During the Pandemic: Needs and Challenges

In this panel discussion, local leaders of nonprofit organizations in Gloucester, Massachusetts will reflect on how the pandemic has affected their work to create social change. The panelists are Corinne Lippie, Program Director, Backyard Growers, Jennifer Perry, Director of Operations, The Open Door, and Melissa Dimond, President and Executive Director, Wellspring House. The program’s respondent is Amy Agigian, Director, Center for Women’s Health and Human Rights, Suffolk University. The morning’s moderator is Shoshana Madmoni-Gerber, associate professor, Communication, Journalism, and Media Department, Suffolk University. The panelists will be joined by Suffolk University Global and Cultural Communication students, with an open invitation to the broader Suffolk community and the general public.
